Mirjam Koch completed her master’s degree in computer science from the TU Dortmund in 2016 and her bachelor’s degree in linguistics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 2018. She has been working for Professor Dr. Kiss and at the LDSL since 2018.

I developed my interest in linguistics and connecting language with computer science during my studies in computer science. By adding a bachelor’s degree in computer linguistics, I was able to develop this interest into a field of expertise and work.
Working at the Linguistic Data Science Lab, I study possibilities to use neural networks and other deep learning mechanisms in linguistic research. I also develop a pipeline for the efficient processing of analytic data from different current and future research projects.
I enjoy teaching in my areas of expertise.
